Vernon law firm for 5 years, he represented individuals and businesses across a broad range of legal issues, including general civil litigation, collections, contract law, creditor's rights in bankruptcy matters, foreclosures, landlord/tenant matters, oil and gas regulatory issues and litigation, real property disputes, and insurance defense/workers' compensation defense. Mr. Hoffman then served as Jefferson County State's Attorney for nearly 5 years, prosecuting all manner of criminal cases and serving as the county government's legal counsel.
